Associate Dean of the College of Medical and Health Science at AU, Prof. Mein-Woei Suen, visited Indonesia to sign an MOU of mutual cooperation with Binus University at Jakarta.
To extend sister universities, the Associate Dean of the College of Medical and Health Science at Asia University (AU) and the Chair of the Psychology Department, Prof. Mein-Woei Suen, represented AU to visit Binus University at Jakarta in Indonesia on January 29. Associate Dean Suen met the CEO of the university, Ir. Bernard Gunawan, and signed an MOU of mutual cooperation between the two schools. With this MOU, Binus University becomes No. 247 sister university in the world, No.150 sister university in the new-southbound-policy countries, and No. 113 in Indonesia, of AU.

The Binus University was founded in 1974. In 2007, the university established the Faculty of Psychology and the Faculty of Communication and Multimedia. Now, many faculties in Binus University are related to Asia University, including the Faculty of Economics and Communication, the Faculty of Humanities, the Faculty of Engineering, the School of Information System, the School of Business Management, and the School of Design.
Associate Dean Suen said that Binus University assigned the Dean of the International College, Prof. Arthanami Eka K. Panjaitan, and the Dean of the Faculty of Humanities, Prof. Elisa Carolina Marion, to attend the MOU signing ceremony. After the ceremony, Associate Dean Suen met the Chair of the Psychology Department and the Chair of Chinese Literature Department of Binus University to discuss further collaboration approaches and the details of the MOU. In the near future, they expect to expand partnership between more faculties and departments of the two schools.
